The founder of Blue Key Forensic Pathology has been dedicated to serving the communities of southern Indiana since 2015, and his commitment has only grown since then.
We currently serve over five counties in southern Indiana and can accommodate the coroners of southern Illinois that arrange autopsies in Evansville, IN.
The current headquarters for Blue Key opened its doors in Madisonville, KY in the spring of 2018, enabling our team of autopsy specialists to meet the increased demand for forensic autopsies in the area.

Dr. Kiefer has been called to testify in court and give depositions for autopsies that were performed by him. He has performed over 800 autopsies in his career. Most often, the case is a criminal case that requires a forensic autopsy and someone to testify to the results of the autopsy. In rare cases, the cause of death found at autopsy raises questions of the quality of the health care that the deceased received while in the hospital.
Dr. Kiefer has performed over 100 autopsies of persons that died in the hospital from non-traumatic means. Whenever these case went to litigation, the Blue Key team was there to provide excellent support.
